A Limited Edition release of Uprising Single Malt Whiskey finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry Barrels.
Sons of Liberty are proud to present to you the result of their second venture into special barrel finishes. After a batch of Uprising American Single Malt Whiskey was aged in newly charred American oak barrels, it was then finished in barrels used to make Pedro Ximénez sherry. The process of maturing whiskey in ex-sherry barrels is an age-old tradition that Sons of Liberty are excited to blend with their beer-forward approach to whiskey.
From the Sons Of Liberty website:
An invitingly sweet aroma with a faint toasted character. On the palate a balanced mix of dried fruits, roasted coffee notes and mocha with a touch of licorice and vanilla. A wonderful mouthfeel followed by a smooth finish.
Clear copper color. Spicy, fruity aromas of mango raisin chutney, toffee, and butter sautéed nuts with a satiny, vibrant, dryish medium-to-full body and a warming, refreshing, long dark molasses, burnt sugar and chocolate, over roasted coffee, and singed fruits finish. Lots of smoky, sherry oak notes here.

What is Pedro Ximénez sherry?
Pedro Ximénez is a name used for naturally sweet dessert wines created with the grapes of the same name. The grapes are either picked very ripe and/or dried in the sun to concentrate. Often referred to as PX, these are intensely sweet sherry wines, especially when the grapes are dried in the sun in a process called asoleo.
