We headed down to Nashville Barrel Company with one goal—find something truly special for our customers back home in Newport. After an incredible tasting experience, we hand-selected two exclusive single barrels that you won’t find just anywhere.
The Wheated Reserve – 9.5 Years | 116 Proof
A rare find. This 9½-year wheated bourbon is exceptionally limited—only one other barrel like it is currently available in the U.S., and we secured the second.
Light golden in color, this bourbon showcases the elegance that comes with time. Wheated bourbons are known for their softer, smoother profile—but they demand patience, often taking longer to mature. This one delivers beautifully balanced character with a refined finish that bourbon lovers will appreciate.
The High Proof Select – 7 Years | 131 Proof
Bold, rich, and unapologetic. This 7-year, 131 proof bourbon pours a deep amber and packs serious flavor. Expect intensity, depth, and a full-bodied experience that stands up whether you sip it neat or craft a powerhouse cocktail.
A Story That Hits Close to Home
These barrels come with more than great flavor—they carry a connection. Master distiller James Davenport is a retired Navy veteran who served aboard the U.S. submarine USS Bremerton (SSN-698) out of Groton, Connecticut. That New England tie makes these selections feel right at home here in Rhode Island.
