Who Were the Sons of Liberty?
Formed in 1765, the Sons of Liberty were a group of rebels, a secret society formed to protect the rights of the colonists and ultimately fight for their freedoms. The members of the Sons of Liberty organization were simply fed up, banding together to take a stand and fight for what they believed in.
Their Beginning
The founders of Sons of Liberty Spirits Co. believed that being American meant taking a stand without compromise and fearlessly pursuing one’s dreams, regardless of the obstacles. They established Sons of Liberty Spirits Co. to revolutionize and redefine American Whiskey, releasing their first whiskey in December 2011.
It all started with one simple question: “Why is no one distilling single malt whiskies from the beers we love?” With a spirit of innovation, they embarked on a mission to challenge century-old traditions by creating American Single Malt Whiskies derived from distinctively flavorful beers. Today, having dared to believe they could achieve it and possessing the intelligence to succeed, they take pride in being leaders in the revival of American Whiskey.
Their Mark
The logo of Sons of Liberty Spirits Co. originated as an interpretation of the original Sons of Liberty flag, which featured a rebellious stripes design with nine vertical stripes (four white and five red). This emblem was chosen to represent the non-conforming, independent, and rebellious nature of the team and their products.
In 2022, the logo underwent a transformation, now depicting the head of the American Bald Eagle. After all, is there a more badass and iconic American symbol than the national bird of the United States? The eagle’s head is adorned in powerful, deep red and blue hues. The feathers are crafted from the original five stripes, symbolizing their origins. A star serves as its eye, adding an extra touch of American pride. Bold, strong, and focused, it embodies the essence of Sons of Liberty Spirits Co.
